Follow the steps below to convert AVI files to MP4 using
Toolsoft Video Converter.
1. After launch
Toolsoft Video Converter, In the folders pane, click on the folder contains AVI files you want to convert to MP4.
2. In the file list pane, select one or more AVI files.
3. Right click on the selected AVI files to bring up the context menu and select
Convert.
4. In the "Convert Video" window, select MP4 from the "Output->Format" list.
5. If you want to change the output quality, select the video/audio combobox. You can change resolution, aspect ratio, frame rates, sampling rates, bits per sample, stereo/ mono channels, bitrate of MP4. (optional)
6. If you want to change the destination folder for MP4, click on the "Browse" icon button to change. (optional)
7. Click
Convert to start converting.

AVI is a multimedia container format introduced by Microsoft in November 1992 as part of its Video for Windows technology. An AVI file may carry audio/video data with any codec.
MP4 is a popular compressed video format, known as the MPEG-4 standard providing a way to store DVD quality movies at a very small size. Most of the time when you find a file with the extension of MP4 or m4v, then they usually have both the audio and video streams. The file type for PSP video is MP4 (480 x 272 MPEG-4 video + AAC).
